How does one track your projects

Project management is a difficult activity that has to do with four traditional variables: expenditure, timing, duration and producing a satisfactory result. Qualified PMs also try to make the organization of business processes more efficient. Take any project and you will notice that it needs labour, finance and tools to give satisfactory outcomes. To manage projects successfully you have to handle a number of things. You can see a number of such factors in the list below:

- Task setting and assessing achievement.

- Managing risk. Any project contains a lot of risks that have to be dealt with.

- Choosing labor and tools for the project.

- Determining the products of the project.

- Managing what is happening: giving out jobs, controlling the work-in-progress.

- Making sure that the products of the tasks are of satisfactory quality.

- Dealing with change. Everything changes. When you begin the project, you have to forsee in what way it will develop with time.

- Talking to those doing the project.

Conventional methods of managing projects, such a pencil and paper, can be used to do most of these things. However, specialized project tracking software offers a lot of relevant advantages:
