It used to be called alchemy - there were the attempts to turn iron into gold. Modern chemistry primarily works with molecules, combinations, reactions which occur between substances, and changes of energy that occur during these processes. The other purpose of this newest science is to find the laws which may describe the processes and phenomena in chemical reactions. It may assist to generate the required substances artificially. To perform the chemical researches, that is essential to be good in physics and biology.
