A lot of well-known corporations declared that there can't be any fair rivalry if one of competitors has unfair benefit before the beginning of a competition. As some corporations-providers of prepaid phone cards resorted to the unjust competition procedures, IDT/UTA (Union Telecard Alliance) made a resolve to defend their rights using the legal ways.
IDT/UTA had alleged that different its proper phone cards, those of many of their rivals supply only about 60 percent of the minutes of telecommunications services proposed and promoted on voice prompts heard by clients in connection with calls performed by using the defendants' cards and advertised by such rivals on radio, magazines, placard, global network, or another medium. Last year Total Call International and IDT/UTA was accused of unlawful actions by the group of phone corporations that comprised IDT Telecom Inc. and LLC. This brings to four the number of defendant groups that have settled the litigation initiated by IDT/UTA before, this year. Epana Networks, Inc., Dollar Phone Corp. and connected structures, and Locus Telecommunications, Inc are also involved into the trial.
